FATE

Graduation Project. To write my own brief was a challenge with everything that is out there! I came to the decision to base my work around the subject FATE. Initially i was thinking death and how it is fate when we die. Then I started to think how we make decisions in life good or bad, which then led me thinking how people make bad decisions with drugs or alcohol. There were a lot of different processes and ideas throughout this brief but my final outcome was 4 Drug Awareness posters for the NHS.

Proposal...A Wedding?

Proposal for my Graduation project. I had created this book containing my intensions of my final year and what me as an Illustrator am all about. Also how I work, what and who inspires me to be where i am today. I called it 'a wedding' as I felt that was the day I had to commit to my specialism, Illustration.

If today was your last day...???

Commitment...My commitment was to live each day as it is my last, so i went around sheffield city centre asking people at random 'what they would do if today was their last?' and got them to write it down in a book i was keeping so i could either illustrate to it or take photos etc etc. My final piece turned out as a book, I got the inspiration to do this from the book Suggestions.

What does the future hold?

Personal work.

Jealousy

Personal work. I buy old books from charity shops or carboots and use these as my sketchbook, this is something i enjoy doing in my spare time.......sweeeeet!

Radio 4 - Editorial

This editorial piece was a quick thing as we had a small brief alongside another brief, I had one night to do it in so I was stressing. The brief was for a radio 4 documentary on how the sense of smell can bring back memories and the 'olfactory' sense and how this is related to Alzheimer's disease. There were measurements to follow.

Lost and Found front covers.

The final book had two versions of a front and back cover. The was a two way book with the women at the front and the man at the back. The reason for doing this was that they had both lost love and would meet in the centre of the book falling in love once they had found each other.

The other book cover was a more simple one but the book was still a two way book!

I much prefer the rose front cover, the quality of the image is more beautiful and represents the love.
